Having had successful career as a Preschool Educational Director in Melbourne, I then moved on to the demanding life as a Professional Opera Singer with Opera Australia in Sydney as well as overseas.
A number of years ago it was suggested to me by a principal artist at Opera Australia that I would make an excellent Civil Marriage Celebrant. This certainly gave me food for thought and cemented a seed within myself as I genuinely love interacting with people and am an excellent communicator and have the ability to make people feel relaxed and good about themselves.
In 2013 I decided to make that dream become a reality and achieved a Certificate 1V in Celebrancy CHC42608 together with my Authorisation from the Attorney General in Canberra .
For me it is indeed an honour and a privilege to be an integral part of couple’s very special day together with creating a personalised written Civil Marriage Ceremony with the couple. As a Celebrant it is my intention to go out of my way professionally to make it both personal and meaningful for the couple on their special day.
As of today, 18th February 2014, I have become a Member of the Australian Federation of Civil Celebrants (The National Association of Professional Celebrants).
